SUMMARY:3rd Thursday Scavenger "History Hunt"
DESCRIPTION:            ECMHS is excited to partner with Tappahannock Main Street 3rd Thursdays series – our community’s newest event!   Beginning July 15\, a celebration of art\, history and community will be held from 5 – 8pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month.  Local and regional artists will display their masterpieces\, and downtown businesses and organizations will open their doors so you can explore all that Tappahannock has to offer!   The Museum will feature a “Scavenger History Hunt” where visitors to the Museum on 3rd Thursday can follow clues that highlight history tidbits found in our exhibits and win gift cards as well as be entered into a drawing for a Prize package each month.   Come join us at the corner of Prince Street and Water Lane and enjoy live entertainment and delicious food and drinks while you appreciate our bustling local art and history. \n

SUMMARY:Annual Commemoration & Reading of the Historic Essex County Colonial Resolutions
DESCRIPTION:The Rappahannock Chapter of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is partnering with the Essex County Museum & Historical Society (ECMHS) as well as  the Henricopolis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and Tappahannock Main Street (TMS) to conduct a Public Reading of the Historic Essex County Resolutions on the Essex County War Memorial Green (or inside the old Beale building if it is raining). This program\, which should last about 45-minutes\, will be followed by refreshments at the Essex Museum at 218 Water Lane.  The Public is invited and encouraged to attend. \n
