We had some excited young archaeologists on hand for the excavations at the historic 1710 Tavern. They weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty as we sifted through some of the dirt that was removed during the construction of the courtyard. There were some very interesting finds! We can’t wait for the Tavern to open. When it does, this historic structure will be the oldest active Tavern in Virginia!
