Join the Essex County Museum and Historical Society

Our members play a vital role in supporting the Museum and Historical Society both financially and as volunteers and advocates. Membership dues assist in keeping the museum open, available to all, and free of charge.  In addition, your membership supports exhibits, programs, children’s activities, events, museum publications, and more.

All Members Receive:

-Advanced notifications of special events and programs
-Museum Publications including Historical Bulletins and The Timekeeper, the museum newsletter.
-Invitations to exhibition openings, historical demonstrations, receptions, and social events including the spring membership party held annually in May (exclusive to members only).
-A 10% Museum Gift Shop Discount

Annual Membership Levels

 

HISTORY PATRON - $500

Twelve Guest Passes that can be used for the annual May membership party and other “members only” workshops and events
-A copy of the book “Settlers, Southerners, Americans: The History of Essex County, Virginia by James B. Slaughter

ESSEX CIRCLE - $300

-Eight Guest Passes to that can be used for the annual May membership party and other “members only” workshops and events
-A copy of the book “Blandfield’s Child” by Nell Carter Osburn Noland

1692 SOCIETY - $150

-Four Guest Passes that can be used for the May membership party and other “members only” workshops and events
-A copy of the book “Bowler’s Rock” by Memoirs of Ivy Wood Hunt (1874-1962) : Bowler’s Wharf, Essex County Virginia by Ivy Wood Hunt and Carolyn H. Harris.

FAMILY - $75
