We’ve had some wonderful events this summer, beginning with the 251st Anniversary of the Essex Resolutions, which the Museum hosted on July 12th. Our thanks to everyone who attended and to our guest speakers who read the Resolutions. This event highlighted an important local moment that helped lead the country into the Revolutionary War. The Essex Resolutions, which were unanimously adopted on the Courthouse Green in July of 1774, were a declaration of the liberty and rights of Americans in the growing dispute with Great Britain, and against the unfair taxes, tariffs, and the use of British soldiers to occupy Boston.

The Museum also hosted several camp groups over the summer, including the Three Rivers Summer Camp and the Fishing Fun Club.
